What are the Fermentation Characteristics of Ferment Tank

Ferment tank is an industrial device used for microbial fermentation. The main body is generally a main cylinder made of stainless steel plate, and its volume is 1m3 to several hundred m3. In the design and processing, we should pay attention to the strict and reasonable structure. Can withstand steam sterilization, has a certain flexibility of operation, minimize internal accessories (avoid dead corners), has strong material and energy transfer performance, and can be adjusted to a certain extent, easy to clean and reduce pollution, suitable for the production of various products, reduce energy consumption.


1. Empty tank preparation Remove the ferment tank, clean the ferment tank, load it, cover the tank, and tighten the bolts on the tank cover. Calibrate the pH and DO electrodes, insert them into the sensor connector on the lid, and lock the nut in time. Mixing motor interface, pH, DO, foam electrode interface with tin foil wrapped; Air inlet, install air filter membrane, clamp the connecting pipe, control the appropriate opening of the exhaust pipe with spiral clamp, wrap eight layers of gauze and newspaper, close the sampling pipe.


2. Put the ferment tank into the sterilizing pot to sterilize.


3. Cool and sterilize the ferment tank, put it back in the fermentation position, connect the motor with the electrode wires of pH, DO and foam electrodes, and put the temperature electrode into the temperature measuring interface. Connect the circulating water pipe, open the circulating water switch, and set the temperature automatically. Connect the air filter membrane, open the air flow meter, open the connection pipe between the air filter membrane and the tank, and the air enters the tank. Note: During the cooling process, always monitor tank pressure and strictly prohibit pressure drop.


4. When the fermentation temperature drops to the temperature required for fermentation, enter the fermentation stage. 1) Set each fermentation parameter to the fermentation process value, and then calibrate the dissolved oxygen electrode to 100%. 2) Inoculation: Reduce tank pressure to less than 0.02Mpa. Loosen the inoculation port in advance, place the flame ring at the inoculation port, ignite it (add cotton to aid combustion), open the inoculation port, pour the seeds into the inoculation port, tighten the inoculation port, and immediately increase the tank pressure. 3) Fermentation initialization: Enter the fermentation batch number in the initialization module


5. End of fermentation 1) At the end of fermentation, change the fermentation state to end in the initialization module. Open sampling valve, open tank bottom valve to discharge material. 2) After unloading, remove the feeding needle and cover the plug. Clean the tank with distilled water, after washing, add an appropriate amount of distilled water to soak the electrode (the electrode does not need to be removed for a long time and properly stored). Close all open valves, the controller returns to the main menu, press Ctrl+F6 to close the control program, and finally turn off the total power supply.
